Philippe Hui, conductor.
Philippe Hui is interested in all expressions of his art, the symphonic ballet, from opera to operetta and aim to share with as many beauties of this vast repertoire.
Philippe HUI joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (Masterclass with Pierre Boulez) and obtains a first price of Orchestra Management. Long at the head of youth orchestras such as the Regional Youth Orchestra Upper Normandy, he became Chief Assistant at the Orchestre de Bretagne then Head Musical Opera Tours. In 2000, he founded the Haute-Normandie Atelier Lyrique which he is the Artistic Director until 2009.
In 2001, James Conlon remarks and invited him to become his assistant at the Opéra National de Paris; Since then, Philippe Hui regularly conducted many operas and ballets: Orpheus and Eurydice by Gluck, choreographed by Pina Bausch, followed a tour in Germany, The Barber of Seville he heads off the cuff, a tango for Monsieur Lautrec, Idomeneo by Mozart, Paquita, La Sylphide etc … He also spoke at the Lyric Training Centre Opera Paris.
Philippe Hui is invited by many stages and festivals in France and abroad: Paris Opera Tours, Metz, Reims, Limoges, Avignon, Toulon, Rennes Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Salle Gaveau, Comic Opera, Lyric Centre Auvergne, Festival of Loches, …) and abroad (Festival Nuremberg, Baalbek …).
It particularly directs many books including The Abduction from the Seraglio, The Merry Widow, The poorly guarded daughter, Romeo and Juliet (Prokofiev), The Nutcracker, La Voix Humaine, La Belle Hélène, Carmen, La Vie Parisienne , The Passion According to St. John, Orpheus in the Underworld, The Little Chimney Sweep B. Britten he recorded with Lambert Wilson etc ..
Philip Hui also worked with the Orchestre National de Lorraine, Brittany, Picardy … and collaborates regularly with ensembles such as the Master of Hauts-de-Seine. He assured for many years the musical direction of outdoor Opera Festival: La Traviata, The Magic Flute, The Barber of Seville and The Tales of Hoffmann.
He is also the musical director of the Institute Franz Schreker he directs works at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées thus beginning a strong and regular collaboration with the orchestra Pasdeloup.
It is now the music director of the Philharmonic of Two Worlds, symphony orchestra in Loire Atlantique, while leading a conductor’s career at festivals (Festival Offenbach Etretat …) and orchestras in France and the Foreigner.

Direction of a chamber orchestra and opera singers at the Offenbach Festival in August 2014 in Etretat.
